My process, more often than not, starts with ‘found’ images, usually from the press. By deconstructing such images and repeating and mixing their elements I try to uncover a buried semiotic, and possible emotional attachment.
In this process of understanding and appropriating images, I start a series that might go on for years, as series permeate each other developing narratives within bodies of work.
This appropriation of somebody else's image, manifests in paintings, drawings, sculptures, site-specific projects... In my work, and as a result of the continuous repetition of dissected elements, disparate elements and techniques intertwine, seeking to provoke an unique hermeneutic.
