It's Got a Handle!

Eva-Costillas, a wood carving from 2022 finally got its handle.

This was always the intention but it took this long to finished the original concept.

The sculpture does turn on its axel, thus completing the illusion suggested by the piece of a rib cage braising on a fire.

The oak was repurposed from al old piece, cut with an initial albeit crude spiral design.

These new carvings are the result of a playful approach to sculpture, to the material and its suggestions.

Al these carvings (from the end of 2021 and onwards) somehow manage to dwell on woman's body parts in a dark humorous way.

They all have wheels as I have a hidden disability and rolling sculptures is the only way I can move my work.
